| Your county Social Service has, as part of their work, the function of licensing a day care. So call them and ask for the requirements to be licensed. You have to have them inspect your home and also the Fire Department will make an inspection with recommendations on what you need to buy. Also, talk to a good tax person about what you can legally deduct as expenses, if you are doing this out of your home. Also check into your state's nutrition program for daycare providers. I do not know what your state calls the program, here it is called, "Heartland Nutrition." Whatever the name is in your state, it provides education and financial reimbursement for daycare providers.
Good luck. I did this for a number of years and it was alot of work but alot of fun too. |
