Base price + per foot, so it's more to cover small area vs large.
I gather from your ID that you are a cleaner and haven't painted stripes before, so pretend you own a parking lot and call some painters for quotes, without revealing who you are or where it is.

I agree with Joy, make sure that the job is done right. And if you do not have the experience you have a tiger by the tail. To do this you need to sub-contract to an expert. I would explain that you are bidding this and that you heed them tobe as competitive as possible for this as you need to profit also as you have the information for this job. And tell them that if this works well that you will contact them again in the future for more work.

Be as secretive initially as possible; give them the over all dimensions of the lot/s and any details pertaining to the specifications and have an understanding (in writing if possible) that they will conduct themselves as sub-contractors for you on this job.

Although you will not make as much profit with a sub-contractor you may get the job and it will be done properly. Also have an understanding with them that if something is not completed properly then they will go back and do it properly without any additional cost to you or the client.

If you attempt to do this without the experience you may price too low (not fun at all if you get the job) and you may not do it professionally which will harm you business reputation.

I would learn from this as to exactly what is being done and how.
