I called my insurance agent, sat down with him, filled out the paperwork and he took care of it for me.

What kind of business is it that you are wanting to start, please? Knowing that would help us in helping you the best. It's true that all you have to do to get insurance is to go to an insurance agent who has carriers for the type of business that you have and to just simply discuss things with him or her, fill out the paperwork and pay the bill for the insurance coverage.

Whether you need to be bonded or not, does depend on what type of business you have and where you are located.

A full line insurance agent can handle all of that. But why do you wish to be bonded, does one of your customers require it ? Or do you wish to have your employees bonded to protect you from their possible theft?
