Horse camp for handicap people

I would like to start a horse camp for handicap children and adults. I would like to know how to be able to get grants to help me start this along. thankyou Dori Borras

That's a great idea. I don't know how to get grants but you have to remember that disabled people are frequently on a low income. If you could prove how healthy and helpful it could be, the grants might be easier to get.

In order to apply for and get grants, you will need to show that you have a workable business plan in place. Do you already have such a plan?

First I would assume you are going to want to become a non profit group.
So you will need to set up a non profit corporation, get a tax exempt statis from the IRS. Then you can do several things, look for funding from major corporations, such as Walmart and other large corps that help with varoius programs like that.

Also look at some of the other groups for specific handicaps that may want to help with a program for some members with thier handicap.
