what product do i use to LIGHTEN MY SKIN?

I'm a dark skinned girl..well not dark as in DAAARK, but I am a dark skinned black girl.lol. I have been dying to try a SAFE product to lightn my skin colour (not too much, but noticeable..maybe almost like a mixed race tone-ALMOST), something that won't turn me into michael Jackson. But at the same time, I want something effective, not something I'd spend £40 on and then end up with little or no results. Also, I absolutely do not want that hydroquinne buisness (however you spell it). My two main choices are between Godiva skin care, and Makari products. But I have also heard about fair and flawless-what one should I use??!!! Has anyone tried any of them, and if so, what were the results? Please tell me asap, its all I've been thinking about for the last few weeks now-and that's not an exaggeration.

Oh, and also, I know there are many people who do not understand why I'd want to do this, and do not agree with it abd assume I am ashamed of being black or something; but I can't be bothered to go into my reasons for it so erm...maybe u culd hold off ure insults untill I find a product??but if u REALLY want to know, go ahead and ask...

I dont know why you would assume insults, but you can do a search within askmehelpdesk by entering what you want to know at the top of your screen if you want to read up on all suggestions (bad or good). I cant contribute to anything that has already been said because I have contributed to. So go ahead look, but am sure you will still get answers here.
