I believe that when you are breast feeding that you should abstain from taking any sort of suppliment unless you consult your doctor and he/she confirms that it is safe to do so. I think that no Doctor would recommend taking it. I would personally wait until you have finished breast feeding.

I will tell you what a friend told me who recently had a baby. She was introducing fish oil into her diet because she had heard that this was good for her baby's brain and development. She went to change her baby's nappy after taking suppliments for several days and noticed that the nappy smellled very fishy and realised that as she was only breast feeding her baby that her taking the fish oils was what was causing it. Which just goes to show that what you take in can go straight to your breast fed baby.
