Sammy Sosa Admits to Skin Bleaching
For those of you who speculated that Sammy Sosa was bleaching his skin and that it was not a skin rejuvenation process, you were right. He will not release what he's using. But I guess Mono mixed with something else?

Here's the article and I enclosed a link to the article underneath:

Sammy Sosa Admits to Bleaching Skin

Although he’s still being vague about his reasons, baseball legend Sammy Sosa confessed to Univision (via the NY Post) that he has been bleaching his skin. "It's a bleaching cream that I apply before going to bed. . . . I use [it] to soften [my skin], but [it] has bleached me some," he admitted.

Sosa shocked fans when he showed up at the Latin Grammys last week looking like a completely different person, complete white skin and green eyes. He insists, however, that the lights from the camera made him look a lot lighter than he actually is. "I'm not a racist. I live my life happily . . . I don't think I look like Michael Jackson,” he said.

Sosa, who turns 41 tomorrow, declined to indentify the name of the bleaching cream he’s been using.

If he has now admitted to bleaching, I wonder why the secrecy as to what he was using...

Yeah, he might as well say what the active ingredients are and which country.
Just because people lighten doesn't mean that they are racists or "trying to look like MJ". I wonder has people been saying this to him?

I'm sure people have been saying this to him. And I don't like the fact that he threw Michael Jackson under the bus like that. How is Michael's family supposed to feel when they hear that?

Yes people have been making this insinuation in the blogs. And also Michael did not lighten his skin this drastically in the course of 6 months, so I would never even think to make this comparison myself, but of course Michael Jackson has unfortunately become the poster child for bleachers everywhere.

The fact that he hasn't said what product(s) he used, says everything.

He is still shopping around for what to say.

If he used Hq or Mono, these transient results are likely to backfire later on, anyway.

    Despite his heavy wallet.

I respect the fact that he made a public confession to having bleached at all, even though it's no one's business (except all of his hopelessly devoted fans that have grown up with him) and I would never expect any celebrity to give a free endorsement to a product that they are using, hence why admit it if you are not getting paid to promote it? That is the mentality of most celebrities; seldom do they think "let me give this product a plug so maybe it will help other bleachers around the world." Get real lol.

    Lol

Only because the general public was already calling him a LIAR with his first false confession about laser!

To me its equivalent of a celebrity going from brunette, to blonde, showing up at an event, and denying they have gone blonde!

Yeh but imagine all the female celebrities that get called out for having breast implants and they either deny it (even though we know its true) or don't respond at all. People in the public eye get called out on a lot of crap but very few actually tell the truth about it, so I still commend him for that, even though it is no one's business.

Yeah. I would definitely have to agree. These results came way toooo fast. I fear for his backfire.

I guess Im going through a Sammy these days.. lol, I had to slow down even further with the lightening because I'm lightening too fast and my hands and arms still haven't caught up yet (although they are beginning to peel a little now). My family and also a neighbor yesterday had did a double takeand/or were staring too hard in my face. I didn't like that. My mom asked "are you using bio claire again?", I said no it's something else.. w/out the steroids though. So now I cut back to once every other night so that it will be more gradual and people will have more time to adjust slowly instead of a swift change.

Lol... thanks! The patches are almost gone and close to one uniform color, less noticeable. They'll eventually stop staring... I hope. I was trying to think if I want to go as light as my sis since she is Alicia Keys color (when Alicia is at her lightest). I think I would prefer the more tanned Alicia or Beyonce. So, maybe I'll reach by Feb.
