Hydro/mono?

Hi,
I really need some advice from people who have used hydroquinone and/ or monobenzone ( benoquin). I really need to lighten my skin.
With hydroquinone - how long should I use it for, any advice on strengths, also, if I use sunblock when i discontinue it, will it maintain my complextion?
Monobenzone - anyone had any experiences that did not end in shreaks? When you reach your desired colour, how often must you apply it for maintanenc? R u using it "neat" or mixing it with something else?

For both of these creams, how long does it take to see results, aqnd what sort of results could i expect within say 3 months?

Thanks for your time. Sorry it was a little long. Any advice would be sooooooooo much appreciated. Thanks
Jojo

Hi whittenbright,
Sounds good. So you've avoided patches by diluting it? How long do you think it will take you to get totally depigmented?

about 6 more months i plan to up the dosage to 40% since i'm used to using. i should be depigmented by 2008. i don't want to rush it either. so far i've lighten evenly and i don't have to wear make up because my skin is so smooth.

but i was light skin to begin with too so working in a professional enviroment i don't want to go to to fast i want it to be gradual. But not so slow.

Hi,
Is does anyone know also where i could get hold of some monobenzone and/or hydroquinone. I heard that hydroquinone acts fast at high %, but it can be dangerous. Any advice?

Hydroquinone takes much longer. People who rely on it have to use it for good portions of their lives. You don't see results as fast, as soon. Of course, it's much, much cheaper.

Monobenzone is technically "monobenzyl ether of hydroquinone."

HI, I HAVE USED 10% HYDROQUINONE IT HAS TO BE COMPOUNDED BY A CHEMIST, ANDF YOU DO HAVE TO HAVE A PRESCRIPTION AT LEAST WHERE I LIVE, IT DIDNT WORK FOR ME BUT I WAS BURNED BY A GLYCOLIC ACID PEEL, AND THEY MIXED HYDROQ. WITH RETIN=A, IN HOPES IT WILL HELP BUT IT DIDNT I ALSO USED TRI-LUMA AND TRETINON, AND HAD MICRODERMA. DONE ALSO NOTHING HELP BUT IF YOUR NOT BURNED THEN MAYBE SO. YOU CAN GET IT UP TO A 40% I KNOW BECAUSE I WAS TALKING TO A CHEMIST I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMEONE TO FILL MY PRESCRIPTION OF BENOQUIN AND THEY DID NOT HAVE IT AND COULD NOT FIND IT AT THE WHOLESALERS AND HE SAID THAT HE COULD GET ME A STRONG HYDROQUINONE THAT MONO WAS A ETHER OF HYDROQUINONE SO AT FIRST I DIDNT BELIEVE HIM . I TOLD HIM THE 10 PERCENT DIDNT HELP IT ONLY GOT DARKER THEN HE TOLD ME YOU CAN ONLY USE IT AT NIGHT TIME BECAUSE OF MY COLOR AND WHEN I FINALLY GOT THE BENOQUIN I READ THE PHAMLET THAT CAME WITH IT AND IT SAID MONOBENZE WAS A ETHER OF HYDROQUIN SO TO ME NOT BEING A CHEMIST MEANS HIGHER DOSAGE OF HYDROQUIN WOULD DO THE SAME AS BENOQUIN WITHOUT THE SIDE EFFECTS FIND OUT FROM SOMEONE TO BE SURE AND THEN LET ME KNOW YOU CAN BUY HERE 6% WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION AT A SPA ITS CALLED BIO-CLEAR AND A LOT OF THINGS HERE
