Skin Whitening/Lightening

Hello
I'm just a bit confused with everyone posting on here about skin whitening. I actually didn't know it was so big until I joined this group. I actually don't really understand it, but isn't there an actual place on Health & Wellness for skin whitening? Why are people posting it here?? Just a thought...
