Avoid the sun. Don't have a job that involves working in the sun. Wear sunscreen that is stronger than spf 15. I try to use sunscreen that is at least a 45+ spf. Wear light in weight long-sleeved shirts in the summer. Avoid cars with sun-roofs. The intensity of the sun is not going to get any better. It is getting worse, and has been for quite some time now. It's best to be over-prepared for exposure to the sun rather then under-prepared.

I am very fair skinned. My father died of resulting complications that started with skin cancer.
