    Daggett and Ramsdell DISASTER
I just wanted to let you guys know that I've started trying this soap. And I am so MAD. It's doing nothing but reversing my lightening. I used it last year and I can't remember why I stopped. Now I do. It says it's natural. So why is it drying my skin out, making it red, dry, crackly and DARKER. Like parts of my skin are peeling off and revealing lighter skin. But all in all. I'm not happy. UGH. I'm going to have to literally spend like 10 hours in 55H+ in order to get back to the color I want. I'm so mad.

    Brown Deceit...

FIRST you say that the soap is darkening you..

THEN YOU say that it darkens you cracks you up but REVEALS LIGHTER SKIN??

Brown Deceit I have seen two two quarter faced pics of yours and I did believe you were genuine.. But eveyrone on this forum is goddamn subtle marketing..

WHY ARE YOU COMPLAINING IF ITS REVEALING LIGHTER SKIN IN TIME?? This is the fakest complaint I have heard !

Eveyrone is fooling everyone out here.. This is ridiculous...

I'm not a marketer and you're making yourself sound stupid right now. If I was a marketer I would tell everyone and their mother to use 55H+... But I don't I'm honest about it. When people ask. I tell them it worked for me but some people it does nothing and some people break out from it. If I was marketing I'm doing a horrible job. And yes it's revealing lighter skin in this horrid patches all over my face. And it's making my skin stupid dry and my make up is just flaking off. I do NOT recommend this product and I am NOT a marketer you idiot.

Yeah I don't think she is a marketer, they sell the product in the stores, I see it eVERYWHERE, even if she was we all could just go buy them and she would'nt get profit anyway. If it's drying out your skin then it's defeating the purpose, skin is suppose to be supple, try not using it on your face.

    Brown's not a marketer.

Imgorgeous you have not been acting too gorgeous and you need to check yourself before jumping down everybody's throats here about their experiences.. it's aggravating.

I have some D & R eyecream somewhere but it didn't seem to help my circles, so I quit.

Brown about the dryness and peeling to reveal new skin, that's what happens with some peels and Retin-A. I'm not sure there's a way around that.

Eta: some products exfoliate more or less radically. But, IMO, if you're after results that would be a good thing.

When the old skin has shed (don't pick!) then it's primed for lighteners and/or moisturizers.

I know my retin-a I'm using makes my skin peel like craaaazy all over the place and it has been bring the acne to the surface and drying it out quite quickly. Right now my face is a patchwork from the old skin and the new skin from underneath, but I say from comparing it to my hands, the hq/tret had lightened my face about 1/2 a shade.

Yeah Golden Girl, those are the ingredients in the soap. And Eggo, you make a very valid point but this soap is literally called Moisturizing Lightening Soap. Lol so I expected it to moisturize! And not peel! I can't afford to be peeling during the school year when I have to get up every morning, apply make up and go to class. It looks crazy. Lol. And Golden Girl, ugh you're so lucky you're able to use Retin A right now. I can't wait until Christmas break!

I have a trainer training me for the marathons next year. I was kind of embarrassed the way my trainer was looking at my face this week. I told him to pay no attention, I'm just exfoliating my skin. But my lips are looking darker so he may soon realize that I'm actually lightening my skin and I don't want to be looked down because of it or have him try to lecture me.

Is your trainer black? Do you think he knows about skin lightening? A lot of African Americans don't even know about it yet or are just finding out because of Tyra's big mouth! But if he's an islander or an African then he knows about skin lightening and I would be a little worried about him finding out. And omg. Are you training in the sun?

Yeah, he is a lightskin black american and he is somewhat afrocentric too... although I noticed he is very attracted to lightskin girls, so part of me doesn't care and another part is like I don't know I hope he doesn't try calling me out. Last month though he was saying how much Michael Jackson let him down because he bleached to look whiter. I explained he had vitiligo.

Because he already made it known to me that areas of my face are lighter than the other areas, I just said it was because I'm exfoliating my skin to get rid of acne, but I barely have acne only 2 or 3). No I don't train in the sun... yet. Its all indoors at the gym. It may reach to a point sooner or later that we will be training outside, so I'm oing to push for very early morning or after sunset.

But, anyway, I was thinking if he sooner or later begins to ask why my face is light, I may just keep saying I'm exfoliating to keep acne a way, I don't know. I rather keep it professional and him not question or start giving me funny looks later on.

Wow. He pointed out that parts of your face are lighter than other parts? How rude! What's his business? I would have told him to mind his own business. Well on second thought. Since he's my trainer maybe not. Lol. But. That still is kind of rude! And yesssss! Early morning work outs are the best outside. :) No sunnnnn. But like maybe a little peeking over the horizon, but its rays are never potent. Just lovely. Is your face extremely light compared to the rest of your body? Is your neck lightening too?

Me too! You don't owe him an explanation... he's not your dermatologist... "peels" or "nunya" should suffice

& besides tis the season for getting lighter anyhoo... everyone fades some at this point:p

I do hate this 'thriller' phase. I'm peeling like crazy, esp my hands. I've been wearing sleeves and pulling them down past my wrists like the kids do. Lol!

Also looking at these :D really

Omg Golden yo are not alone! I can't wait for this stage to be over. I have patches of light and dark and medium on my face, and I've only been applying to my necks and the sides of my face, and my arms are just like immune to anything right now. Not cute. But the good news is I am seeing results with the hq4% retin a combo and I'm using the hq6% here and there. But under my chin is darker, but there is a lighter patch that appeared under my chin today, and my neck is patchy. Hopefully in another month I should be more evened out. I've been wearing more makeup lately.

I have to agree that he is your fitness trainer not your skin specialist. He needs to concentrate on what he has been asked to do and not engage in extra curricular questioning!

By the way what's up with people feeling it's OK to question people about what may be a personal issue. I would not dream of doing that to anyone. Unless I had some useful advice, my mouth would remain shut.
