Pink spot after scab

Hey I was hoping someone could help me out on the best way to heal this and if its normal.

I got a small cut on my face and after the scab came off I had a pink spot. I was thinking this was normal but it has not lightned up and it has been almost a month. Is it new skin or a scar? Any help would be appreciated. Is it possible to reduce the redness/pink and return it to regular skin color?


Another question I had was will it tan back to the normal skin color during the summer?

Yes it is sort of a scar after the scab came off. It is new skin that formed under the scab when it was healing. And yes, it will tan back to the normal skin colour. I would suggest using a moisturizer in the meantime so the skin area won't become traumatized from drying out from washing your face. You have to remember, that area of skin has been protected by the scab.
