    Lemon on Skin?
    I've heard that if you put lemon juice on your skin while tanning that it brings out more freckles...

    Is this true? :confused:

    I don't really know if the above is true or not about a lemon causing more freckles. However, I did find the following information that you might find to be helpful. It is from http://www.aworldofaromatherapy.com/...oils-lemon.htm

    Contra-indications:

    Lemon is a photosensitizer (increases the skins reaction to sunlight making it more likely to burn) so it should not be used when exposed to sunlight or tanning beds. Lemon should not be directly inhaled.

    No, it's not true. Lemon juice will not bring out freckles. Freckles are caused by genetics and excess of melanin that produces normal skin color. They can also be caused by sun exposure and sun-tanning lights. Sun exposure and sun-tanning lights will make your freckles look darker or more prominent.
