Large painful stubborn pimple

Asked Jan 11, 2009, 07:06 PM — 6 Answers
If anyone has a solution "I LOVE YOU!"

My skin for the most part is pretty clear. But from time to time I get a large tough acne spot under the corner of my mouth. It will stay under the skin for a few days and I can feel it brooding... So it feels sort of painful under the skin for a few days then a whitehead will appear. It is large and stubborn and lasts for several days... These are tough, large acne spots and after it is gone it will often crop up in the same spot a few weeks later. SO annoying! Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance, I am truly grateful!

There's quite a few products out there that you apply to bumps to stop them from cropping up.
The one I know of is by .Mario Badescu. They have a drying lotion and even a drying mask. It's pricey so it's worth checking out the reviews about it on youtube and google.

What every you do don't pick at it. That will just cause it to get more irriated and puffy. I have use a producted name Duac and Vanoxide. Duac remove pimples and marks left behind with out over drying. Vanoxide helps to remove pimples over night. YOu can also use any Neutrogena cleanser they all work for me.

I absolutely hate these kinds of pimples. I call them "underground pimples". Whtever you do, DO NOT SQUEEZE IT BEFORE A WITEHEAD APPEARS. Its better not to squeeze it at all, but if you must at least do it in a clean way. Instea f your fingers, use q tips to GENTLY squeeze it. Preporation H will relieve the swelling someand Visine will help the redness. Since it does keep popping up inthe same spot, ask your doctor for a referall for a dermatologist. Just keep it clean. To help cover it, get a pre concealer. It will lookl like green lipstick by Nuetrogena. Then use your mineral face powder!

Oh wow. I get the same pimple in the same place. Sorry bout that. Good info. All I can think of is to keep the area clean and try not to use make ups with so much oils

The oral prescription, Doxycycline an antibiotic will proably work. I use it for large ones.

The best thing to bring out pimples is to get a cotton wool bud or something along those lines and put really hot water on it and press it to the pimple, do it a few times (use a new cotton bud each time) this will bring the pimple out. Or if you want to dry it out use tea tree oil. It works wonders. Apply it as often as you like. If you want to go for a name brand/product Ella Bache has this AMAZING cream that you put on pimples and it draws them out over night but it is quite expensive.
