    Itchy hands and feet
Hello. I have small itchy bumps on my hands and feet. When this started about 3 weeks ago, it began on my right foot between my baby-toe and the one next to it, I thought it was athletes foot. It was red, scaly, itchy and burned so I began treatment using an over the counter athletes foot spray. A few days went by and it spread to the space between the adjoining toes and to the top of my foot and also to the area next to my toe nail on the big toe of my left foot. The spray I used never worked, in fact, it made it burn like crazy!! Another few days went by and itchy flesh colored bumps started to appear on my wrist and within a day or two, moved all the way to the tips of all of my fingers.
My left foot cleared up within a few days, however, I still have it on my right foot and on both hands. I had scabies about 2 years ago and thought it may be it again, however, it is not spreading anyplace else, it is just sticking to both hands and my right foot. I have no medical insurance, so I cannot see a doctor. I began using "Cortaid Advanced 12-Hour" cream last night and noticed that it helps the itch go away, but only a little.
Please advise as to what this may be and how to get rid of it. I have done nothing different in the past year that would make me break out into an allergic reaction, same detergents, etc... and my fiancé is allergic to everything, but he has shown no signs of anything at all (thank goodness for that!) This is driving me crazy.

aquajen, there is no way we can diagnose what you have on your hands and feet. Can't see it. I suggest you try teatree oil which is a natural antibacterial. It can't do any harm, it is a natural substance.

Best you get it looked at by a qualified person, a nurse, whatever, could tell you what it is. Do you know any ?

Hi I also get these red itchy bumps on my feet from time to time. The trigger for me is almost always dehydration and possibly stress. But those two tend to go together for me anyway. When work gets hectic and stressful I tend to forget to hydrate properly. Attending to hydration has always sorted things out within hours for me. I know how ittitating these bumps can be. The itch is like nothing else. It's so intense. I, so far, have only experienced it on the soles of my feet but I know people get it on their hands too. As I say, attending to proper hydration has always made it go away within hours. If you think it's possible that you have allowed yourself to become dehydrated this might be the key to a cure for you too. The easiest way to know if you're dehydrated is to check the colour of your pee. It should be clear. The darker it is, the more dehydrated you are. The only exception to this is if you are drinking alcohol. If you drink beer for example your pee will appear clear while you are knocking back the glasses of beer. But the alcohol will be dehydrating your system. I rehydrate with simple water most of the time. But if I have been exercising heavily I often use sports drinks with electrolyte replacement properties. Dioralyte is also really good for replacing the electrolytes lost through sweat during heavy exercise. It is marketed for use after bouts of diarrhorea but it is basically just electrolyte replacement. Anyway try to attend to hydration when these itchy bumps appear and let me know if it helps. I'd be really interested to know if this works for others the way it works for me. Wishing you well.
