The best product is something called IODEX. You'll have to have the pharmacy order this for you. It is still manufactured in the US by a firm in California. It is basically iodine in a petroleum base. I've used it for more than 40 years on bruises and cuts and abrasions with great results. Bruises go away in a few days vs a week or more. Scabs go away quickly and don't leave scars either.
