Can anyone figure this Child Support mass out ?
My husband has a son who lives in Georgia, when he divorced they set his child support at 350.00 a month. A few months later the child was placed in Georgia State Foster Care System for a month, then placed in our home in Kentucky for 4 months, we were in the process of taking her to court for child support here in Kentucky because Custody had changed and the child lived in Kentucky, but we had problems the child had Bipolar Disorder and other problems effecting him due to his mothers Meth use during her pregancy,so the child ended up having to live in Kentucky Foster Care System for 6 months. Then he was placed back with his mother in Georgia for 18 months before he was taken back into Georgia Foster care for 12 months before he was given back to his mother who finially worked out her drug problems.

As far as we know there are NO STANDING ORDERS for Child Support to be made by either parent for back pay during the time that either parent did or did not have the child.

My question is, how long does the States have to bill you?
And if there are No Standing Orders during any of these months and years for Child Support, and the Mother has not filed any Child Support, if she filed today could they make the father pay for the years he was not asked or ordered by the courts?
Meaning, would she get "back pay"... when there was no orders to pay?
Or would the Child Support start from the date that she files for a new order?

In this case only one order was ever done for Child Support, during there Divorce case, that order we were told was "no good" when she lost the child to Georgia Foster Care the first time. Is that true?
Any info on this would be helpful.
At this time there is no order's and we don't know where she's ran off to this time, or even where the child is.
And yes, the courts in Georgia already know we do not know where the mother or the child is, and that we never get to see him.
I'm thinking that we need to do something to protect ourselves if she tries to file years down the road, so we can show the courts in the furture that we don't know where they are, but they know where we are.
I do not want it to look like my husband is running, because we are not! It's just that she's never asked, or file for it. And it is her who's running, because if we find out she's on drugs again, my husband would file for Custody again.
