    I think the answer is

    =(33 /(1/3)) % 1208.20

    =(33*3) % 1208.20

    = 99% 1208.20

    =99*12.0820=1196.118

    I guess it's the answer

I don't think that's the answer... I know you were trying to help but just so you know, we don't give homework answers here. We can help them figure it out but not do the work for them.

As WG said... convert 33 1/3% into decimal form and then multiply it.

I just thought I would convert the fraction.
My view is like this the questions reads tome like to find the thirty three and one by three percentage of 1208.20

So I just converted the fraction and took the percentage

    Sorry if I am wrong.
No one should consider my answer seriously. I was just telling my opininon

I think now I made a mistake actually when the fraction is converted it is 100/3
    Then it will 100/3 % 1208.20
That mean both hundred will get canceled
    It is simply 1208.20 / 3

    OK what I did was
    Convert the fraction that means 33 1/3 means (33*3)+1 ) /3
    So 100/3 %1208.20
    That means (100/3) *(1/100) * 1208.20
That means both hundred will get cancelled
    That means 1208.20 /3 left

    I did .333 x 1208.20

    33 1/3% is .333

I think you are over complicating this.

Maybe I am under-complicating it... lol

That's why I said in the very beginning to change the percent to a decimal. The other number is also a decimal. Then multiply the two numbers.

yeah maybe its complicating, even if I went too far, I am happy, finally I got the answer too after all the mess

    .333* 1208.20=402.3306

    and 1208.20/3 is also 402.3306
