    If you shower after sex and take a pg test, will it be accurate?
    My period is almost two months late, and I've had unprotected sex. I want to take a PG test, but I want to know if it's still accurate if you had sex and then take a shower afterwards before taking the test.

    The best time to take a pregnancy test is first thing in the morning, with the first urine of the day.

    Engaging in sex or showering may affect the test because it can change your hormonal balance temporarily. But other that that they have no real effect. If you're a month along (evidenced by missing 2 periods), then the test should detect it.

    But when taking a HPT, follow the directions for accurate results.

    Best not to do it, best to take the test first thing in the morning as soon as you wake up. Take the test and then go back to bed for the sex
