    Model 23783 hunter ceiling fan
Recently I turned the wall switch on, and the lights went out. It has four lights. The fan continues to work, but none of the lights will work, and it's not the bulbs, we've already checked them. Hunter tells me that there have not been any issues with this fan, but it has been discontinued. Any suggestions?

Inosemaj, do you operate the fan and fan/lt. with the pull chains? Obviously the fan pull chain works, question is" does the lt. pull chain sw. work OK. when you pull the chain slowly down, do you feel and hear the "click" of the sw. engaging? If not then the sw. is bad and needs replacing. Buy a simple on/off pull chain sw. at any DIY center remove the bottom of the lt. kit after shutting off power, take a picture of the switch so you don't wire it back incorrectly( very hard to do since it doesn't matter which wire goes to each wire). There's just 2 wires and can be wired either way.Very simple...

Let me repreat what you said, you turned the switch ON and the lights went off. That would mean the lights were initially ON with the switch OFF, is that what you mean?

No, we hardly ever use the pull chain for the light. Once in a great while, but normally just the wall switch. I checked the switch though, and the one for the light and the fan sound about the same. Thanks for your input!

I haven't had the fan that long, but all of a sudden the fan no longer works, either by remove or switch?
