    In addition to this transmitting a 3p line is more economical than the single phase line.

    Main or MCB means the panelboard has a Main Breaker builtin.

    MLO stands for Main Lug Only, only has lugs to feed the panel, there will be a circuit breaker or fuse protection upstream at another larger distribution panel or switchboard.

    The Major application of three phase power would be the Transmission & distribution system.The loss can be reduced & the system eficiency increases.

    The three phase supply is generally used for industry purpose because of higher efficiency.
