What have we lost?
Recently, while going home by bus, I've heard a quite strange discussion (I know that is not kind to listen to what other people talk, but I just happened to hear) and at some point, one person said that although we know more about life, science, etc. than we used to, we have unconsciously lost something but we don't realise it yet. I've been thinking seriously about this, but I can't figure out what is it about. Unfortunately, I don't know that man nor his acquaintances, so I don't have any means of getting answer, I can only speculate. What do you think we have lost?

Can't answer that. I'm an agnostic so it certainly isn't religion based 'cause I don't feel like I've lost anything. A strong sense of family and community will keep you grounded. Becoming another sheep in the materialism machine will make one loses one's way in my opinion.
