Cold water does not come on
I just had my bathroom remodeled. We removed all the tile and installed a shower stall.
The first time the faucet was put in the hot and cold worked. Well, the plumber had to come back because he had forgot to secure the cover with the screws provided and caulk it.
We have a delta one faucet for both hot and cold. When you turn it on we barely get any water at all and we have to turn it more than half way around which is hot. There is no cold water. What could be the problem?: thank you

CC I would suggest starting by turning the main water supply off. Remove your handle, and you will see a large retainer nut which holds the cartridge or stem of your faucet in place. Loosen this nut, and that will allow you to pull the guts of the faucet out. Be sure to retrieve the cups and springs from the back of the valve.

With the guts removed, turn your water supply back on for 10 to 15 seconds and this should flush both hot and cold supplies out. Hope that helps.

We recently had a plumber in to raise the temperature in our shower. He fiddled about, turning various supply pipes on and off and then deemed he couldn't do anything as he didn't have the part.
