    Vacation Rental in Texas
We have a lakehouse that we are beginning to set up as a vacation rental in Texas (i.e. weekend, weekly, monthly type rentals). I haven't been able to find anything online regarding Security Deposits in Texas... i.e. what can/can't be deducted, when it needs to be returned, etc.

Anyone have any idea where I can find this information (besides my friendly, local attorney? )...

    Thanks a lot!

I was hopeing someone would jump in with an answer, since this will be a rental, more like that of a motel or lodge, I am not sure the housing rental rules would apply. ( not sure they don't either)

Esp when dealing with weekend or weekly.

So besides you local attorney ( a friendly one if you have it) is most likely your best bet
