    Can't remember event
Hi, I am a 17 year old female. To ask this question I will first provide some background information. Tonight, at a party my father told the guests of a story that I had told him. He said to me "Grace, tell them about the time the man came into your shop to buy knifes to protect himself in the park". I had absolutely no idea what he was talking about. I told him this, and he seemed fairly confused, as well as the other guests. When we arived home, he seemed very worried and we spoke about this for a good hour. We came to the conclusion that the event never happened, and that I had either made up this obscure story and then completely forgetted, having no recollection of the conversation about me telling him OR that he had experienced a reality dream. I felt very strongly that he had experienced a reality dream yet he told me that he was 100% sure that this was real. I felt quite worried, that I may in fact be going mad. Can anyone offer any advice ?

How old is dad? Memory lapses can start earlier than you might think, his or yours.

If your father is on any type of medication this is one thing that effects memory and memory lapses.

Maybe he heard the story from someone else and somehow associated it with you. I've done that before.

    Oh I've done that too!
Had my sources swapped from two different people who are very similar in ways.

Yep... this is very common. And as I age I find myself doing it more and more.

This is really normal and happens all the time, people forget who told them something, or some event more importatnt to him meant nothing to you. Heck there are photos of events showing me somewhere I don't remember ever happening, if not for the photos I would swear I never did a few things.

And I confuse at times who did what.

I have a very important event coming up on April 29th of this year. I would like to lose twenty pounds by that time. I don't think that's too much weight to lose in this time, but it seems so hard to lose weight. Does anybody have any ideas on how I can lose 20 lbs in 2 1/2 months?
