Only in AM, gas furnace stops and starts
    Hello

I have a Gaffers-Sattler furnace, about 40 years old. Runs great, but for one problem. In the morning around 5 or 6, I turn on furnace and it will heat up and run for about 5 to 6 minutes then stop for about 3 minutes and repeat this all morning long. (frustration as this is when its most needed)
In the afternoon and evening, this does not occur.

This started happening after I replaced the gas valve two years ago.
I replaced the wall thermostat the other day and this did not remedy.
I was looking at the components and noticed a component in the gas line after the valve, it is made my Honeywell, it too says "gas valve" on it. The wires from the 24volt system tie into it. This is original to the furnace, could this be the culprit?

I find it really interesting this happens only in the AM. Could the cold somehow be effecting its operation?

    Thanks!

It seems to have fixed itself. Thanks!
