    Civil summons concerning credit card debt
    I just received a civil summons from a credit card, guess they are suing me.I had been working with a company for over a year to help me out with this... so what are my options... I need help quick, sounds like they are getting ready to eat me alive, or that is the way it seems... :eek:

    You need to go back to the company you are working with. They should have informed you of the creditor was not cooperating. They can tell you how to proceed. But if the creditor won't cooperate and you can't reach a settlement with them. Then you may have consider more drastic alternatives.

    You have time to call them and try to settle the case am sure they will be willing

    Generally a summons must be answered in 30days. Since the original notes was posted 12/7 I'm sure the court data has come and gone.

    Creditors are not always willing to settle.
