    Root canal/crown
I had a crown and root canal earlier this year. I also have 2 crowns next to it.
#16 is crown/canal, # 15, 14 have crowns no root canals. I don't feel those 2 bothering me, They are not sensitive or any other feelings to them. The # 16 has ( or seems) to be bothering me. I went to the dentist and he did an adjustment to my bite Thurs, and today. So, 5 days apart. It doesn't feel right. Bite seems fine. But I feel some type of throbbing sensation to heat. Like it was last week. He feels it is not this #16, but the one in front and I am feeling the sensitivity on the last. I can feel something on that tooth even with my tongue. Any type of suggestions or likeness to this... Please. If the sensation keeps up he wants to do a root canal on # 15. He does not think it is 16, could it be even though I have had a root canal there??:confused:

Either of the teeth with crowns on them could be dying. The dentist would have to take an x-ray to check for sure. You may want to request referral to an endodontist to have a second opinion. Heat sensitivity is usually the sign of a tooth dying.
