Maybe he is eating too fast and not chewing enough.

Is it really every time? Or only when he eats certain things? And how long has it been happening?

Usually, right after I've been sick with any sort of sinus problem or sore throat and cough, I cough a lot more after I have anything cold. Ice cream. Even just yogurt straight out of the fridge. Ice water. Refrigerated beverages. Has he been sick at all lately?

Very difficult to diagnose on AMHD and especially with something that can be caused by multiple complications. What kind of underlying medical conditions does he have and how old is he?
