    Won't go into gear
    Daughter has a 1999 ford taurus and was fine Fri night when she parked it, Sat morning it won't go into gear. I watched as she shifted and the linkage is moveing, could this be electrical issue?

    Have you checked the fluid?

    Yes I did, fluid didn't smell smoked and looked clean, and was full

    That's a real common problem with those transmissions to,me and my husband own an automotive repair shop we been in business for 15 yrs,see a lot of those come in and diagnose them but we do everything except transmission work,
