    Drum Set Any Suggestions
I've been playing for about 3 months now and its about that time that I moved up and got my own set instead of renting. I have a range of 800 - 1000 dollars to spend on a drum kit. Any idea of a decent set I can get?

Your money will go a lot further if you get a slightly used set. Try your local classified ads, Ebay, etc. Or here :

Scratch and dent sales are great too. Stick with the better brands like Yamaha, Slingerland, Tama Gretsch, Ludwig... Good luck and "stick" with it.

I have the perfect kit for you. This is the one that I own. It is the Tama Imperial Star drum kit. It consists of meinl hardware(which is solid and durable) and is a great kit to build onto. This is the best man being honest and it altogether ranges on musicians friend from 700 to 800.00. With the remaining money I would suggest remo or evans drum heads. If you want to see my kit, look me up on myspace. My email is [email protected].
