Where are the places in the bible that indicated Jesus is God?
I believe there are several such places including in the Old Testament.
Example, was it Jesus or God the Father who visited and dined with Abram (who became Abraham).
:confused:If it was Jesus who do we know that?
:confused:Also How many places in the New Testament indicate the Jesus Christ, the son of God is also God the Son?
:confused:What are those places?
Peace and kindness,
Fred (arcura)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Jesus is the word.

Nohelp,
Excellent passage, then drop down to John 1:14 it goes on to say that the WORD was made flesh and dwelt among us. Doesn't get much more plain than that!! Jesus IS God. Isn't that just AWESOME!?

Jesus is the word.
"GOD" the first time it occurs in the quotation - "and the Word was with God"? the word in greek which is used in the original manuscript is HOTHEOS, which literally means "THE GOD".
Since the European (including the North American) has evolved a system of using capital letter to start a proper noun and small letters for common nouns, we would accept his giving a capital "G" for God; in other words HOTHEOS is rendered "the god" which in turn is rendered - God.
The Greek word for God in the second occurrence and the Word was God"?the word is TONTHEOS, which means "a god".
According to the European and north American system system of translating they aught to have spelt this word God a second time with a small "g" i.e. god,
And not God with a capital " i.e. god,
and not God with a capital "; in other words TONTHEOS is rendered "a god"; in other words TONTHEOS is rendered "god". Both of these, "a god" or "g" are correct.
But in 2 Corinthians 4:4 the system has been reversed by using a small "(and the devil is) the god of this world." The Greek word for " when
spelling GOD - " is HOTHEOS the same as in John 1:1.
In the Old Testament, the Lord said unto Moses, "See, I have made thee a god to Pharoach" The Greek word for "Why do you use a small " is HOTHEOS the same as in John 1:1.
In the Old Testament, the Lord said unto Moses, " for " (Exodus 7:1). " when referring to Moses instead of a capital "g" as you do for a mere word - 'WORD' - "GOD"?

To me God with a capitol "G" is the one true, only Almighty God.
God with a small g can be just about anyone depending on the usage thereof.

And then there are quite a few in the OT.
Examples:
About the child who will be born of a woman... Son Who will given by God:
Isa 9:6-7
6 For to us a child is born,
To us a son is given,
And the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
7 Of the increase of his government and peace
There will be no end.
He will reign on David's throne
And over his kingdom,
Establishing and upholding it
With justice and righteousness
From that time on and forever.
The zeal of the Lord Almighty
Will accomplish this.
NIV
Or combine much of the OT with the NT explanations... as:
Ps 45:6-7
6 Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever;
A scepter of justice will be the scepter of your kingdom.
7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness;
Therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
By anointing you with the oil of joy.
NIV
Heb 1:8-9
8 But about the Son he says,
"Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever,
and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom.
9 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness;
therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions
by anointing you with the oil of joy."
NIV
But then, it is only those who belong to the Christ who can know Him as God.
Jn 3:19-21
19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20 Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21 But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
NIV
Jn 8:47
47 He who belongs to God hears what God says. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God."
NIV
Jn 10:36-38
Why then do you accuse me of blasphemy because I said, 'I am God's Son'? 37 Do not believe me unless I do what my Father does. 38 But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may know and understand that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."
NIV

I just went through the link that was provided at the start of this thread, that thread discusses this topic in detail, so I think rehashing this debate here is going to be a waste of time.
