    Theft under $5K

First of all I'm not canadian and not immigrant, I'm just working on work permit.

So I don't know if anyone can help me?

But I was arrested for theft under 5000.
First offence. I have no record.

    Should I plead guilty.
And what type of sentence or punishment might I expect?

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

Second, I'm a little confused because your question was almost word for word the same as the original thread you posted in.

Finally, did you bother to read my response which said to check for similar threads because this is a frequently asked and answered question,

What exactly was your charge? I was arrested for attempted forgery with an instrument (a pen), and it was under $5,000 and it was my first offense, never had a record before this, and I got 5 years felony probation and 300 hours community service... although you may get restitution... My community service was in lieu of jail time. Hope I helped...

And as the saying goes, "If you did the crime, then do the time" If they have evidence on you, then of course plea guilty because if you take it to trial and are found guilty, you will do the max penalty of the crime.

Is there enough "legal" evidence to convict you?? I don't believe in pleading guilty if there is not a plea bargain to get something out of it
