    Balancing equasions for Chem
    OK so I need to know how to balance the I guess you would call it equasions...

    • magnesium chloride plus sulfiric acid

    • magnesium plus nitrogen

    • hydrochloric acid plus sodium hydroxide

    For example to balance oxygen plus hydrogen you would put...
    O2 +2H2---->2H2O

    Thanks

    All right, remember, Magnesium's charge is +2, and Chlorine's charge is -1
    so it would be MgCl2 and H2SO4; 3Mg+2N=Mg3N2 (Not sure about this one, so check with your Chemistry teacher) HCl+NaOH=H2O+NaCl

Chem answer [ 2 Answers ]

I not sure if I did it right, but I got 15.9. here is the question- If 40.0 grams of H3PO4 reacts with 60.0 grams of MgCO3 according to this reaction, 2H3PO4 + 3MgCO3 —> Mg3 (PO4)2 + 3CO2 + 3H2O (already balanced) Then calculate the volume of carbon dioxide gas produced at STP.
