Major
Hi,
I am 63; have two Bachelors Degrees, and a Masters in Public School Supervison and Administration. Taught high school math for 13 yrs, in my much younger years. Got out of teaching, got my second Bachelors at 40 yrs old! Then, was in engineering for 22 yrs.
I'm telling you all this cause it's never too late in life to change what you want to do!
I am sure there are some other things you can do with an English major and Art, but just not sure right now. Usually, teaching is what these are for.
I really can't tell you what to do, and that decision is up to you. Since you were turned down for the "teachers' program", it does change things. If you were turned down for it now, are you sure you can get a teaching job with a Masters?
I am sure you have talked many times with the counselors, and they can give you more Professional advice than I can. But, one suggestion is to finsh your Bachelors Degree in English, then start applying for jobs, with a resume, maybe for an Administrator Assistant job, or other. Work for awhile in the "real world", then decide later if you really want to continue with education courses. Happy New Year!
