    Small claims
    I had a job I worked at that owes me money by not paying me the proper overtime I worked... I am wondering... in the state of Michigan... how long do I have to sue them in small claims court... one year? Two years?

    There is a staute of limitations that can be as short as 4 years and as long as 7 years in most states. However, the longer you wait the lower your chances of winning. Why wait at all? You did not give all details, are you 100% positive your labor qualifies for overtime? Not everything over 40 hours qualifies.
