I'm staying put for a while. This is where I have lived for the longest. Hubby and his dad have a gun shop the size of a small Wal-Mart. Guess I got to stay here for retirement. LOL

Guns have always been cool to me, I went hunting with my Dad on King Mountain in Alaska and that is where I met my fate. I found out that I was a weenie and couldn't shoot anything but beer cans. Nothing more, nothing less. And I had always thought I was tough! Hee hee. Retirement? You are just starting a great career, how could you even think about that YOUNG lady??

Providence was okay - Newport is great though, and Vermont is only several hours away.
Alaska, one of these days...

Of course, you wouldn't know it but I do. Orange is a wonderful underestimated color!
Inthebox, I hope you make it there one day, a trip of a life time, consult with J_9, Captain Rich or I to tell you what to do and where to go...

Lolz... only in america
However... I live in australia, and I'm only 16, yet I can dismantle and reassemble an aussteyre rifle (the ones the aussie defense force uses) as well as load, prove, and fire it
Funny what you learn on work experience :)

I was born and raised in Davenport, IA. I have now lived for 17 years in Rock Island, IL. I own my home there.
Just a thought, and not a criticism of anyone else, but I would like to add that one of the sayings that I have liked for most of my life is: "Why go to where the grass is greener? Why not make it greener where you are?" It doesn't matter really where you live, but what you make of it.
I love where I live because I have worked to make it the kind of place where I love to live.

Clough you awesome person!
That's a very good point!
Why go away to find a better place, when you can make the place your already in a better place, so then there are more better places, and eventually, there will be no need to go to a better place, because all places will be awesome!
We recently planted trees as a youth church, but I never realised that by doing so, we are making our area a better place to live in :)

Hey, thanks cal823! I think that you are awesome too! Just to add a little to what I said without editing it - that saying has helped me for not just concerning where I live, but also in the things that I do. Like, the groups in which I have chosen to be involved.
Sometimes people can get fed up with things in whatever group in which they are involved and choose to "take their football and play somewhere else." When in fact, they could be working to make the playing field on which they are on a better place to play.
We all know the kinds of people that do that.

You are so right Clough. Life is what you make of it, no matter where you are! I call Alaska my true love but my home is where my heart is. Alaska has built a foundation for me, I will never forget that. But, Oregon is where my home is because I am here, with my family, I wouldn't rather it be Alaska. Hugs, Start
