A knife... If you look in the back of a tattoo magazine, they advertise a cream that is suppose to remove certain color inks from a tattoo.

Or you can check this site:WreckingBalm Tattoo Fade System

    Good Luck!

If you have an unwated tattoo, you need to have it removed via laser surgery. This is the only way the tattoo will be gone. Do a Google search for "tattoo removal" and your city name and you should come up with some doctors who perform the procedure. I had one removed last year; it took 4 treatments and cost a fortune, but it was worth it! It doesn't really hurt, but you do have to be meticulous about keeping the area properly cleaned and lubricated. Most offices will give you a free consult. Oh, and there is NO SIGN of my old tattoo now!

If you just don't like the design, you could have another design tattooed over it, a good friend of mine had that done last year to cover a really bad tattoo she had when she was much younger, and it worked brilliantly. If you just don't want any tattoo anymore, laser surgery is probably your only option. The creams I think only work just after a tattoo is done, during the healing process when the colour is still new, not sure though.

I'd like to point out, that laser tattoo removal is not 100% effective (it's often less than 95% effective). It may leave a scar. It is also more painful and expensive than getting a tattoo applied.

Capuchin, you are correct. Laser removal does not guarantee 100% removal and often there is a scar left. The results depend on the type of ink, the depth of the tattoo, age of the tattoo, compliance with treatment, colors of the tattoo, and, naturally, the individual person. I had great results with my removal, so much so that my doctor was shocked it worked as well as it did. But, laser removal is still the best and most effective way to remove an unwanted tattoo. Most people would rather be left with a scar (which is usually faint) than have the tattoo. The expense is an issue, but your comment on pain depends. My doctor injected anestetic into the area before the procedure, so aside from the needle prick for that, I felt nothing. Some doctors don't use a numbing agent, some use a topical cream, etc. Regardless, there is pain after the numbing agent wears off; it feels like a really bad sunburn and itches like mad for about 10 days.

Out of curiosity, where did you get the statistic it only works in 95% of cases? I had never heard that before.

I didn't say it only works in 95% of cases, I said it's about 95% effective at removing the tattoo.

Sorry, I mis-read your post. I'd still like to know where you got the statistic, though. I'm not questioning your accuracy, I'm just curious. It's not often that I'm in the minority 5% of something good happening! If you have a link to the info I'd like to read it, just for additional information.
