radiating body heat all the time

I am 62 and 2 years ago had a complete hysterectomy. I thought I was through with hot flashes before my surgery. I now have the "hot flashes" worse than before. My body RADIATES heat all the time. My husband says I feel normal, but my face turns bright red, sweat running from my entire head plastering my hair to my head and dripping on my face and neck, I feel like I have a very bad body odor. The heat radiates from head, back, front, & groin, I am not on hormones and would rather not take them, but I am uncomfortable all the time and "fan" myself constantly; other people around me look comfortable while I'm roasting. It's very embarrassing. Please does someone have any ideas for me to try. Missms
