nightsweats

It is with great consternation that I have begun to experience night sweats. I had them with menopause. I have had them prior to every bout with bronchitis, and now I learn that they can accompany any number of not-so-nice physical problems such as tuberculosis, hepatitis and Multiple Sclerosis to name a few!
I have not come down with bronchitis, and I finished menopause long ago, so both of them are ruled out...and what does that leave me????? Stress? I have been terribly stressed lately, and yet, I seem to handle stress pretty well. Could my body be telling me that it is still bothering me?
I am not HIV positive, so that is not an answer. I just don't seem to know what to do about it. It is embarrassing to find myself soaking wet when I awaken. I don't sleep with too many covers, and it is cool in my sleeping area with a window open. I am becoming more and more frustrated with this symptom for which I cannot find a cause. HELP!
