Excuse me if I'm wrong, but the diagram shows the ground wire going to the meter, not the panel. According to parttime, it states it cannot pass through or be connected on the meter base. Hmm... Our...

Generally, this type of cord is marked with lettering on the hot wire, and the neutral has ribs running the length of it. You can usually feel the ribs with a fingernail across the wire.

Sorry, I must have misread something somewhere. I thought you said when you shut it down, it didn't do anything. My bad:(

First, is each light currently on it's own switch? If not , then it can be a problem.
-
From the pic, no. The box is only rated at 100 amps. That means the bus bars (what the breaker plugs onto and supplies the power) is only rated that high. Another consideration is the fact that the...

Sorry for the earlier incorrect reply
-
Definitely not a 300 amp set-up. Apparently all that was done (by the pics) was a 100 amp breaker added to the main panel to supply the sub-panel. If it had been a 300 amp upgrade, the meter base...

Check to see if something is jamming the blade, not letting it turn. Could be a rock, dried grass, a stick, etc... The blade has to move for the mower to start, or the rope to be pulled.
-
Newer riding mowers have an electric clutch that operate the blades. There is a fuse for it, probably under the hood. Find the wire coming from the clutch and trace it back to the fuse, then check to...

The glass can usually be replaced without changing out the entire window frame. Have a glass company come out. They can measure and order the appropriate replacement panes.

You are missing a wire in the new unit. The blue IS for the light, but there should also be a (probably) black for the fan. Open the unit and look again.
-
It's not necessarily a by-passed 3-way. The reds could be a feed-thru hot, and the yellow is the switch leg. However, Strats #1) is probably the way to go. (You'll Probably see a couple of whites in...

Is there any ID plate still on it? Make, model, serial, any info at all may be helpful in finding something on it. Do you know if it is 120, 240, 3-phase, anything at all? Let us know what you can,...

If this is a "tube type" fluorescent, try changing the bulbs. Are there blackened ends on the tubes? Also, another issue if this is tube type, would be either the ballast, if it that type, or starter....

There is an electric "eye" near the bottom of the door. Actually one on each side. This is a laser. They have to be aligned and unobstructed for the door to close. This is a safety feature, started...

Not sure how you connected it, but the black wire may be a feed through hot to something else. Try hooking up the new light white to the whites, the new light black to the red. The red may be the...

I have had good luck with a site called 1000bulbs.com. I have ordered from them on a few occasions, and the quality seems to be good, and the pricing is great. They carry all types of bulbs and even...

That is true, plywood is a good choice if you can afford it to cover all walls. However, I don't think that's what Creahands meant."U can use anything that is 1/2'' thick by width of 2x4. Plywood...

If you don't want to do all that ripping, or don't have access to a table saw, 1/2x 1 1/2 lattice or lathing boards should be available at your local lumber yard.

We have been allowed (by inspectors and our power companies) to attach the ground wire directly to the rebar in a foundation by means of a ground clamp. This may not pertain to your situation though.

Perimeter
is the distance in a path around.22.5+22.5+10.5+10.5=45+21=66

Are you absolutely certain there is'nt a subpanel?
-
JUDYK, I figure you binged it like everyone else. Go to part one under subletting
-
AS I originally said, I am from Texas. I do not know what OR laws are on subletting. It is not legal here unless agreed by the REAL LANDLORD, not the tenant. The tenant is a TENANT.
-
It still goes back to subletting, at least here. Otherwise, I would say it is a guest helping with the bills. But, you know this is TEXAS.
-
In Texas, UNLIKE many other states, a tenant cannot validly sublease or assign his leasehold interest to another tenant without the landlords prior consent
-
That being said, the original post did not tell all
-
-
If his name and info and signature is not on any paperwork pertaining to this lease, legally, he is not a tenant.
-
I don't know about your state, but in Texas, if he is not on the lease, then he is not a legal tenant. I would say to go to your landlord and request a lock change. Your friend cannot sue you for...

Sounds like a weak breaker. After a breaker has been tripped multiple times, the spring in it will weaken.I don't know how long you have been at this location, but someone before you could have...

Portar is carry, bear, or bring

Therefore, I am going to.

Sounds like it it way out of time. Do you have a timing light? Did you mark the position of the rotor before removing the old distributor? It could even be 180 degrees out.
-
I would suggest using Hardibacker or Wonderboard as a backer over the particle board, then sealing it with a product like Redgard. Then you should be able to tile over it, as long as the substructure...

A cracked head, between the water ports and the intake, will allow fuel to enter the water system. It can also work the other way, and allow water to enter the intake. Have you noticed sputtering or...

Curb weight, if completely EMPTY, gross weight if completely LOADED, or somewhere in between to accommodate for incidental weight. Did that tell you?

I've always used a fiber-type masonary blade, or a diamond concrete blade. And I've had fine luck cutting from the back using these.Be ready for a lot of dust, whichever way you go.
-
Sounds like it's being used as a switch leg. I.E. black hot to switch, then white to light for power. Does it become hot only with the switch in the "on" position? If this is the case, it is not a...
-
What you have in the box is only a switch leg. It is only the hot wire being brought in, then broken by the switch. You have no neutral or ground, therefore rendering it impossible to complete a...

Try hydraulic cement. It should be available at most building supply houses. It works very well for filling that type of hole. Good luck
-
Would need to know a little more about the problem. There is a product called RedGard that can be used to seal over stone, concrete, etc. but don't know if it would work in your situation.
-
Isit a heat pump? If so, the reversing valve is probably bad. Have to have A/C man to repair that one. Sorry.

Check for gfci. Sometimes people wrongly wire bath lights and fan on the load side of a gfci. Press test and reset gfci if one is installed, see if that fixes it.
-
You may also consider adding an extra designated circuit for the "future" a/c unit. It is easier to prewire now than to attempt to add later if needed.
