It could be(and sort of sounds like) bells palsy.. See a dr especially for the numbness. You could new at risk for choking if your gag reflex is numbed.

Fairy tale book
As a child we had a book in our house of a collection of children's fairy tales or short stories.. I can't remember the name, but I know "riddle in the dark" was in it. Please help
