Swelling is very normal during the first week or so. MY question is, where is your bar placed? Back, middle, front? If it's so uncomfortable, I would recommend getting it taken out, let it close up...

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being the worst), how much does rook piercings hurt?
-
It's normal. I've had my tongue ring for over a year and my tongue still has that indent where the ball sits.
-
kimy_lovve: I've had my tongue ring for over a year and my indent is still there, so it's not from the swelling of the tongue. It's from the ball resting on your tongue while you're tongue is inside...
-
First off... the indent is normal. It won't go away while you have the bar in there, because that's where the ball sits. If you decide to take it out someday, permanently, the indent should go away...

It doesn't hurt. Numbing product or not, it feels the same. I would still suggest using the numbing product cuz' the clamp hurts! Anyway, as for cleaning--rinse your mouth with NON-ALCOHOLIC...

After almost a year, I finally repierced my belly. My belly was doing the same. It was rejecting it and the skin was getting thinner, so I took it out and let it close. Yes, there is a noticeable...

Eesh, I would go see your piercer asap. And next time that happens, go to your piercer asap. Don't try to shove it in... just thinking about it, makes me want to hurl. Lol

Ughhh, I can't IMAGINE a cartilage piercing with a gun. That's a big no-no! Especially on a tragus! Get it done with a needle. And take extra care of it to prevent those bumps. Also, it will only...
-
It does NOT hurt--well, it depends on your level of pain tolerance. If you have any other ear cartilage piercings, then the tragus will be one notch higher in pain from a regular cartilage ear...

I am considering of getting a rook piercing, but I am frightened by the large amount of cartilage. And since it's in a tight spot, I am wondering what the easiest way to clean it, would be?
-
I agree with nygypsy1. It does NOT hurt... well, it depends on which cartilage. If it's the helixes, those are very tolerable. The pain is like, 1.5-2 on the pain scale. I am SURE conch and rooks are...

First off: Stop playing with it. That's the main reason why it's doing that, I'm sure. My piercer is strict on touching/playing with it, especially while it's healing. Always, always, ALWAYS wash...

Gargle and swish sea salt water. That's what I would normally do with my tongue piercing. No, I don't have any lip piercings, but the tongue is in the mouth as well, so I am sure it would apply the...

I don't have a say, really. I am 23, going on 24. I didn't pierce any cartilages until I was 18, which was when I was able to go without having a parent with me. I would agree with the 'body growing'...
-
I would wait a week just in case to drink coffee... that is, if it's not swollen or doing anything else funky.

Get a XboxKinect and either Dance Central, Dance Central 2 or Just Dance 3... OR--all three. You'll get a GREAT workout! ^_^
Don't eat out so much (once a week or twice a month is enough)
Walk...

So you're saying that you're getting it pierced for the third time? I've only gotten my belly pierced twice, so I don't see why you couldn't re-pierce it. Your body would definitely be familiar with...

Have your piercer check it.

If I had hip dermals and became pregnant, I would want to remove them. Not only cuz' I'm sure it would be uncomfortable to have those once the belly increases in size, but also cuz' I wouldn't feel...

DEPENDS ON THE PERSON'S PAIN TOLERANCE.
For me, it did NOT hurt as much as I thought it would.
WITH or withOUT numbing product it was the same--did not hurt (I re-pierced my tongue cuz' the first...

My industrial was VERY red and tender to the touch for 2-3 days. So it's normal. Of course, if there is puss seeping out of it, go to your piercer ASAP (go to their office OR call their number). I...

When I first got my belly pierced, I was 22 and was about 131lbs. I had some pulge in my belly area. I got my belly pierced. It was fine. If a little bit of fat is there, it won't look bad. Also,...

I JUST got my belly repierced today and it was not as bad as the first time. It was probably because I knew what to expect. My piercer was even surprised that I said it wasn't as bad because piercing...

I go to LaBelleVie. My piercer is AMAZING. He's so informative and he has a very steady hand. He's done all of my piercings. Anyway, so I got my belly pierced back when, and after a week, I went back...

First off, how old are you? Second of all, it's your body. If you're 18+ you're able to do whatever you want without a parent's consent. Do you have any other piercings? If so, try to tell them that...
-
So are you saying that she was seeing someone else WHILE you two were dating? If so... if I were you, I would not accept that whatsoever.

Generally, the swelling of the tongue is very normal. Some people's tongues swell longer than others. However, if it's so uncomfortable, it's probably not in a spot your tongue likes. I took out my...

Listerine was strongly disregarded by my piercer. If you use mouthwash, only use nonalcoholic ones. Listerine is too strong. I've never had any issues with "white stuff." So my guess is that, it may...

I think that it depends on the person and their pain tolerance, which is why places don't give straight answers. I am going to get mine redone and I am quite nervous because it hurt the first time I...
