Could most likely be the magnetron going out. If it is, check your owners manual, as some have a 5 year warranty. That will significantly reduce the cost.
-
Changing the belt is really not a difficult or expensive job. Go to your nearest Sears parts place. They will usually have the belt, and can give you a breakdown diagram on how to do it yourself.

Your problem is with the timer. When it goes to a spin cycle, there is an automatic 7 second pause allowing the gearcase to ch. You are actually manually creating that pause when you open and close...

The only way is to tilt the machine back and take the pump out from underneath. Use a 2x4 to hold up the machine. Also be careful, as when you take out the pump there will be water in it. You will be...

California is an at will state. Your employment can be terminated at anytime without reason. The only exception would be any violation of the civil rights act.
-
Sounds like clutch/basketdrive problem (brake on the machine). If you are mechanical you can do it yourself. Having it done by Sears is about 180.00. Much cheaper than a new one.
-
The most common problem is the push to start switch has shorted out. Try replacing that first. It is a rather inexpensive part and is available at most Sears repair centers.
-
If your dryer is designed for a side venting, there will be a small "knock out" panel on the bottome side of the machine. Not all machines are capable of being side vented.

I do believe Sears had repair technicians in Canada.

Depending on how much oil you are seeing, but the transmission is the main part, so it is like running your car with an oil leak. Also the oil can mix with the water and stain your clothes
-
Sounds like a transmission problem. One way to check for sure is to see if when the water starts to drain out, does is start to spin when there is still water inside? That is call no neutral drain....
-
Sounds like could be the motor. Check the connections. Also check all the connections to the timer, one may be loose

More likely thermal fuse or thermostat. Possibly restricted vent hose
-
Check vent hose for restriction. Remove the hose and see if dryer heats up without it. If not, then check thermal fuse or thermostat.
-
If the washer is in the garage, you can take the drain hose and lower to the ground, creating syphoning condition. The problem is probably the pump. Either it is split, or something is stuck in it....
-
Recommended size for your sq ft would be a 4-5 ton unit
-
Before you invest the money, check your vent. A restricted vent can cause the no/limited heat. Average repair from sears is minimum labor of 132.00 plus the cost of parts.
