Is there a fuse? Just had a problem similar to that today and when I replaced the fuse and had the door switch made, the status light lights up. Mine was a 3 amp fuse.

Thank you very much! You're awesome! I think that's the problem... I unhooked as you said, turned thermostat to cool and furnace fan kicked on! All that was happening before this was the fuse...
