I posted earlier " Outside Unit will not turn on"... after reading some of the questions and answers, I think I will need to check the contactor... but, where is it located?:o

If I set the thermostat to below the room temperature the fan which is set in auto mode will start working, but if I go outside and look the AC unit, it is dead... neither the fan or the compressor ...

Here we go... Texas heat and AC problem...
The out side unit will not turn on! I bypassed the Thermostat and connected the Y to R wire and the blower turns on , but the outside unit does not come...
