very weird anime/cartoon from the late 70s/early 80s

alright... I can't stop thinking about this movie because sometimes I will dream about it

pretty sure it's a movie and not a series. the protagonist is a little blue creature that can fly around at will. there's a scene in the movie where a goddess or something is flying across the sky, turning it into night? the blue creature has some kind of fight with an evil witch in her castle, while he is trying to escape, pillars or blocks from the walls and ceiling try to crush him? that's pretty much all i can remember, anyone have ANY idea what i'm talking about?

i've asked this before on similar forums with no luck.

Yes! Yes! Finally, someone who remembers this! I've been losing sleep trying to find this old cartoon! I can't remember the name of it, either, but at least someone else knows what I'm talking about!

this is a challenge to all of you gurus then, because i've been on at least three of these forums where people ask for help with movie names and nobody has been able to name it.
