Sci-Fi Movie with Murderous Monster Dog Tracker

I'm looking for a particularly freaky B-movie featured on the Sci-Fi channel in the mid-90's. It involves a ridiculous sort of naked mole rat creature that kills anyone who comes into contact with a friendly-looking dog that was supposedly engineered by the government. A hokey cover-up subplot comes into play, obviously. One scene involves a gang of teens who had recently come into contact with the dog in the woods fleeing some unseen malice. And then, . . . bloody glasses near a small footbridge. I would be grateful and even more impressed if someone might fill me in as to the title.

orfunz1 agrees: Even if you don't like the description, the author of the original concept for this movie was Dean Koontz. He wrote the book. (Which BTW is MUCH better than the movie, but still....)

The movie you are looking for is called "Watchers" starring Corey Haim. There was also a second part called "Watchers: Reborn" starring Mark Hamill. (Yes, THAT Mark Hamill. lol).

orfunz1, I wasnt critizing, in fact just poking fun, I actually like Dean Koontz. And my all out favourite is H.P. Lovecraft. Nobody ever wrote a horror like him. Talk about bloody, wow ! I saw both movies you mentioned.

I got kind of tired of Stephen King. He was great 20 years ago, but wore thin quickly.
