how to reach 192.168.0.1 on d-link router?

I have a D-link wireless router and wish to gain access to the administrator function on 192.168.0.1, but although I follow the instructions given on the official CD, the page will not open. I have tried several different ethernet cables and the 'wizard' acknowledges that each step has been sequenced, but notheless, 192.168.0.1 remains doggedly unavailable.

Are you sure that is your default gateway ?
To find out open a command prompt (type CMD at RUN)
The ipconfig
You want the Default Gateway, this should be your d-link router.
