ITstudent2006 agrees: we now why an individual would want to access the routers interface we want to know why can't he! Whats it do or say?

First Right Click Internet Explorer Icon On Desktop, Select 'properties', Then Click 'security' Tab, Then Choose Default Settings For 'internet' 'local Intranet' 'trusted Sites' & Restricted Sites' . And Then Click Apply And Then Try To Enter Your Ip Address 192.168.0.1 In Internet Expl.
You Can Also Try Netscape Navigator Browser To Enter The Router.
I Think You Are Supposed To Connect The Wire Directly To The Router's Lan Port And To Your Pc's Port.

ITstudent2006 disagrees: D-Link Router Interface is 192.168.0.1 as well as NetGear. Linksys is 192.168.1.1 bad info!

I thought D-link was 0.1, and Linksys and some others, 1.1?
This is over a year old post, I hope they got it working by now.

I tried both. 192.168.1.1

It asks me for a username and password.... I reset the router at least 5 times! What should I enter?!

Go to:

select manufacturer to view default password.

I think it's 192.168.2.1, not .0.1

Artem, he's geting to the router, he just needs to use the default user name and password. I have a link for that site above. Looking it up shows user "admin" and no password.

Ah ok. Well then it should be in the documentation, unless someone in your family thought it would be quite a joke to change it.

You should try to reset the router, or use the installation CD to go back to standard settings.

Btw. on my router I simply have to leave the fields blank, maybe that works?
